Privacy Policy
Your privacy matters to us. This policy explains how Fast Filing LLC, doing business as TaxUpside, collects, uses, and protects information across our website and platform.
Last updated: June 9, 2026
This Privacy Policy explains how Fast Filing LLC, a Florida limited liability company doing business as TaxUpside (“TaxUpside,” “we,” “us,” or “our”), collects, uses, shares, and protects information when you visit taxupside.com, use our client portal and dashboard, or engage us for R&D tax credit services (collectively, the “Services”).
By using the Services, you agree to the practices described in this policy.
1. Information We Collect
Information you provide. When you fill out a form, request an estimate, create an account, or engage us, we collect information such as your name, business name, email address, phone number, and details about your company (for example, employer identification number, fiscal year, gross receipts, payroll, contractor spend, and R&D project descriptions). To deliver the Services, we also collect documents and records you upload, such as tax returns, financial statements, and payroll reports.
Information from integrations you authorize. If you connect a third-party account such as Intuit QuickBooks, we receive financial data (for example, payroll, contractor payments, and expense records) needed to calculate and substantiate your R&D credit. We access this data only as you authorize and only for the Services.
Information collected automatically. When you visit our website, we and our analytics providers automatically collect technical information such as your IP address, browser type, device information, pages viewed, and referring URLs, using cookies and similar technologies (including Google Tag Manager and analytics tools).
2. How We Use Your Information
We use the information we collect to:
- Provide, operate, and improve the Services, including calculating estimates and preparing and substantiating R&D tax credit claims;
- Communicate with you — for example, to send estimates, account and document confirmations, engagement-status updates, and service-related notices;
- Verify your identity, set up and manage your account, and process engagements and fees;
- Maintain the security and integrity of our platform and prevent fraud or misuse;
- Comply with legal, tax, and regulatory obligations; and
- Analyze website usage to understand and improve our content and marketing.
We do not sell your personal information.
3. How We Share Information
We share information only as needed to run our business and deliver the Services:
- Service providers who act on our behalf under confidentiality obligations — for example, our cloud hosting and database provider (Supabase), email delivery provider (Resend), form processing (Web3Forms), scheduling (HubSpot), and analytics providers.
- The CPAs and tax professionals who review, attest to, and where applicable file your R&D credit, as part of your engagement.
- Government authorities, such as the IRS, where required to prepare or support a filing or to comply with law.
- Legal and safety reasons — to comply with a law, regulation, subpoena, or court order, or to protect the rights, property, or safety of TaxUpside, our clients, or others.
- Business transfers — in connection with a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets, subject to this policy.
4. How We Protect Your Information
We use technical and organizational safeguards to protect your information, including encryption in transit, access controls, row-level security on our database, and restricted access to client documents stored in segregated, company-scoped storage. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security, but we work to protect your information consistent with industry practice.
5. Data Retention
We retain your information for as long as your account or engagement is active and as needed to provide the Services. Because our work involves tax filings, we retain engagement records, supporting documents, and substantiation materials for the periods required by applicable tax and recordkeeping laws, and to support any audit defense we provide. When information is no longer needed, we delete or de-identify it.
6. Your Rights and Choices
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct, delete, or receive a copy of your personal information, or to object to or restrict certain processing. To exercise any of these rights, contact us at contact@taxupside.com. We will respond as required by applicable law. You can also:
- Manage cookies through your browser settings, though disabling them may affect site functionality;
- Opt out of marketing emails using the unsubscribe link in those emails (we will still send service-related messages about your account or engagement); and
- Disconnect integrations such as QuickBooks at any time from your account or by contacting us.
7. Third-Party Links and Services
Our website and platform may link to or integrate with third-party sites and services. We are not responsible for their privacy practices. Their use of your information is governed by their own privacy policies, and we encourage you to review them.
8. Children’s Privacy
The Services are intended for businesses and are not directed to children under 18. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided us information, contact us and we will delete it.
9. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. If we make material changes, we will update the “Last updated” date above and, where appropriate, notify you by email or through the platform. Your continued use of the Services after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the revised policy.
